Officially ready for adoption, Wolfie!
This boy has come a long way in two months and I am so proud of him!
Because German Shepherds are a very unique breed we will require adopters to be experienced with the breed.
He is neutered, heartworm negative, vaccinated, and microchipped.
He has met a couple of cats up close and personal and was not interested other than a little sniff.
He does great with our very dog savvy 8 year old child but we have not tested him with other children.
He has met dogs through fences and kennels and is non reactive for the most part other than sometimes wanting to play through the fence.
Wolfie loves to play fetch and to play with toys in general.
He is not a dog that instantly loves everyone at first meet but with time and continued confidence building and training I think he can get there. He’s met several people since being with us and has over all enjoyed everyone. When he is not here however he is nervous of strangers and very timid.
He came to us a very broken dog, trauma takes time to heal. But what we do know is that once he decides he loves you, he gives you his whole heart.
At his recent neuter appointment he was 100lbs even and I suspect he will fill out a bit more still (he weighed 87.5 in late October when he came to us very thin and hungry). Wolfie is a huge dog, pictures we have posted do not show his size well, he will need a home prepared for his size.
He loves meal time and treat time and is learning some basic manners.
Adoption fee is $400
